What happens to the excess hampers?
Each year we aim to provide 2,500 Give A Feed hampers to WA families in need.
However, for the last 3 years we have exceeded that amount.
So what happens to the excess hampers that are packed beyond the 2,500 that get distributed to families in need at Christmas?
We find organisations that are doing their best to help families that might be doing it tough in their community.
This year, although unplanned, we were fortunate enough to be able to help and send some excess hampers north to Kalbarri and Northampton after Cyclone Seroja devastated these communities.
The rest of the excess hampers went to Byford Baptist Church, who gather every Thursday morning to hand out food hampers to anyone who feels they might need some help getting by.
Check out this video to find out some of the things that Byford Baptist Church do to help the people in their community!
